Headway Cardiff is a registered charity and receives no statutory core funding. We rely heavily on the hard work and generosity of companies and individuals to continue the work that we do.
Here are some of the ways you can make a difference:
- Donations – you can make one-off donations of any amount or regular donations by Standing Order.
Please don't forget to GIFT AID your donation.
- Why not sit in a bath of cold baked beans for 12 hours or climb 3 peaks in 24 hours? Why don't you? I hear you cry. Sponsored events are a fun way of raising money for charities and of raising public awareness. If you are thinking of taking part in any sponsored event in aid of Headway Cardiff, please contact us and we will be happy to supply you with the relevant sponsorship forms and appropriate merchandising.
- Have you got room in your house for a small collection box or do you know local businesses that would be happy to place one in their reception or staff room? They make wonderful swear boxes!
- Donating goods – We hold a Summer Fete and a Winter Fayre and welcome donations of books, toys, bottles, jewellery, bric-a-brac.
- Donating raffle prizes – we hold raffles throughout the year at various fundraising events and are always on the look out for prizes. Anything from a box of chocolates to a Weekend Break is welcome.
- Organise a fundraising event – do you belong to an organisation or work for a company who are interested in helping the community? If so, why not organise an event in aid of Headway Cardiff?
- Christmas Message – a good way to help both us and the environment is to use the Headway Cardiff, Christmas Message Board.
Instead of sending colleagues Christmas Cards, you can write a Christmas message on the board and donate the money you would have spent on Christmas cards to Headway Cardiff. Please don't forget to GIFT AID the individual donations.
- 100 Club – for £1.00 per month you can join our 100 Club which has prize draws totalling £100 per quarter and £200 at Christmas.
- Payroll Giving – Gifts are deducted straight from your salary, giving immediate tax relief of up to £4 for every £10 donated. This means that you will only be debited £3.90 for us to receive £5.00.
Please contact us for further details or speak to your employer. If your employer is already set up as a Payroll Giver then all you need is our registered charity number and away you go.
